Submitting the pupils’ work (option A)

Gathering files

In order to submit to the competition (the deadline is 1st April 2022), the pupils are asked to first send their recordings to you. These files could be too big for email, so you might need to use e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or WeTransfer. You are best placed to know what file transfer method will work best for your class. If you are working in a classroom, it might be possible to connect phones or devices to a school computer manually, and upload the files that way.

When you’re submitting pupils’ recordings to us, it’s important that they’re named correctly, so that we can identify who they belong to when we choose our competition winners. The pupils’ instructions contain a section on naming their files, which you can view by clicking on the button below. Please check that the files are named according to the instructions they’ve been given. Most importantly:

1. Each pupil should have given their episode a title, and all of their recordings should be named with their episode title, followed by something that identifies this particular recording.

2. If the recording is an interview, the name of the file must contain the full name of the person being interviewed (not just ‘mum’ or ‘Auntie Sue’!). This is so we can check that the interviewees have filled in consent forms.
